Gustav Frid

Gustav is a recipient of the Under 35 Changemaker Award 2022 by PMI Sweden for his contributions to creating sustainable and environmentally clean energy in Sweden and for fostering the circular future. 

33 years old, Senior Environment and Sustainability Specialist within Business Area Wind at Vattenfall.

Gustav has a strong passion for sustainability, especially environmental related topics, the field he is happy and proud to be working in. He has nourished his passion by carefully choosing both Bachelor- and Masters subjects in order to learn and grow within the field and then starting his career as an engineer with Masters in Sustainability Development from KTH Royal Institute of Technology. 

Gustav is also an influential project leader and has been leading a number of projects such as THS Armanda, Work Fair Moment and power grids building projects at Vattenfall. 

Currently, in his daily work he supports the Onshore and Offshore wind sites that are constructed and developed in Sweden. He ensures the highest environmental performance and secures compliance. He is also leading the work of sustainable treatment of composite materials, i.e. wind turbine blades at end of their life.
